How do you tell the story of the past through the preservation of place? Who gets to decide what places are worth protecting? Join Clark Hancock, Heritage Interpretive Consultant, as he investigates these ideas as they relate to the past and future of Oak Hill.

The identity of Oak Hill has come under threat from TxDot’s plans for a mega-highway and other urbanization pressures drawing into question the future safety of historic structures erected over a hundred years ago. Before that legacy is erased forever, there are some things we should consider. What multi-faceted stories and lessons do this crossroad and its artifacts provide? How can those stories and lessons be preserved so those that come after are given the opportunity to decide for themselves the significance of this heritage?

Join the conversation as we explore these questions and more… before it is too late.
