Join the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for free family fun Thursday evenings this June. Nature Nights are fun explorations of plants, animals, and the ecology of Central Texas. Each evening features interactive presentations, hikes with experts in their fields, and nature crafting for kids of all ages. Nature Nights are supported through volunteer efforts by local organizations. Regular admission prices apply during the day.
The topic for Thursday, June 30th is Predators
In this Nature Night, get up close to predators of Central Texas as they fly, stalk and slither. Enjoy a presentation on birds of prey on the Play Lawn featuring live hawks and owls. Visit the live snake exhibit to learn about snakes native to Central Texas. Find out what it takes to be a herpetologist from Dr. Travis LaDuc in his special presentation about Texas snakes. Books signed by author Divya Srinivasan will be featured in the Store.
