Montopolis Recreation and Community Center Public Input Meeting

The City of Austin invites the community to a public input meeting at the Montopolis Recreation Center Gym (2nd floor meeting room) on March 11, 2015 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at 1200 Montopolis Drive. The purpose of the meeting is as follows: 

• To review how the City’s Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process for professional services consultant selection works and receive input and feedback in the development of the RFQ
• To discuss next steps in the process of designing the Center
• To provide community feedback options

The current facility has served the community as a center for recreation and community events for over four decades. The building, while providing a facility for sports and recreation, is in poor condition and can no longer meet the needs of a growing and vibrant community. Moreover, the Montopolis community has expressed a need to access various public health services offered by the City of Austin.

Spanish interpreters will be provided and light refreshments served.
