MLK Day of Service Trail Clean-Up

Observed each year on the third Monday in January, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King and improve their communities.
How will you honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy on MLK Day 2023? Join us to clean up the Hike and Bike Trail to unite as a nation in service to others! Through service and volunteerism, we can build more equitable and just communities to underpin racial equity, expand civic opportunities, and foster respect for individual differences.
After the event, we encourage you to attend Austin’s MLK Community Festival hosted by Austin Area Heritage Council at Huston-Tillotson University.
The Trail Conservancy’s mission is to protect, enhance, and connect the Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake for the benefit of all.
