WHY: A healthy food supply is fundamental and a basic human right
The Austin Center for Peace and Justice has organized a community event, to educate and inform Texans about the threat to our farmers and our food supply. The Monsanto Protection Act was signed into effect in March. 250+ cities are participating in this global action.
We will celebrate our local -to- Austin family farmers who supply organic products at our local markets.
The March will be led by The Teenage Mutant Sweet Potatoes Band, featuring Ryan Gould and Oliver Steck. Costumes encouraged! A family-friendly event.
