Landscapes and Raingardens
February 13, 2018 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

From Austin Energy Green Building –
As Austin becomes increasingly urbanized, native landscapes are replaced with impervious surfaces that prevent rainwater from soaking into the ground. Raingardens provide an attractive addition to landscapes while helping to conserve water and protect water quality. This seminar will explore best practices and benefits of healthy landscapes. Speakers will ‘give us the dirt’ on the ingredients for a successful rain garden installation. Following the presentations, join us for short walk down the block to learn about the raingarden installation at nearby One Texas Center.
Speakers
Heather Venhaus, Principal, Regenerative Environmental Design
