Join Sunrise ATX to learn more about the Fayette Power Project (FPP), which contributes to more than 80% of Austin Energy emissions, EPA violations, and harm to both the community and the surrounding ecosystem. With FPP still in operation the City of Austin will NEVER achieve its climate plan. That said, it’s about MORE than just putting an end to a coal plant. FPP is the opportunity for the City to make a just transition, and ultimately a Green New Deal, a reality by creating good green jobs in the process. This means having an alternative in place to protect the workers, their families, and the La Grange community.

Come join us to learn more about what a just transition from FPP means, how it relates to a Green New Deal, and how you can get involved! Stay after for a picnic!
