July Happy Hour with CleanTX & USGBC

As the summer months hit us with record heat, we would love to cool down with you and have a drink or two. CleanTX and Solar Austin are joining forces to host a networking happy hour for clean energy professionals and friends. We are also thrilled to welcome the Central Texas Chapter of the US Green Building Council as our co-hosts and clean energy ambassadors extraordinaire for our July Happy Hour. Attendance is free, but all donations will go to support the work of Solar Austin and CleanTX.

Solar Austin’s mission is to accelerate the transition to clean, renewable energy in Central Texas and to expand access to the benefits of solar to everyone to mitigate climate change, create a healthy community, and support a strong local economy.

Solar Austin coordinates free solar installs for community nonprofits, creating community resiliency hubs that are then used as training and development sites for those interested in entering the clean energy sector. In recent years, Solar Austin has also launched a number of initiatives such as community workshops, speaker panels, and an education program that focus on helping under-resourced communities and renters access solar.

The Mission of CleanTX is to modernize the power grid to advance renewable integration through industry collaboration and strategic alliances. Our Vision is to achieve 50% renewable energy integration in Texas by 2030.

CleanTX comprises two non-profits that merged in 2020: TREIA, founded in 1985, and CleanTX, founded in 2006, taking on the name of CleanTX. CleanTX is the nonprofit economic development and professional association for the advancement of cleantech and renewable energy in Texas.

USGBC Texas Chapter is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The U.S. Green Building Council Texas (USGBC Texas) is an aligned chapter of the national U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), leader in promoting sustainable building practices throughout the country and the world for the past 27 years.
