Formerly known as Solid Waste Services, Austin Resource Recovery provides residential curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard trimmings in the City of Austin. Additional services include sweeping streets, collecting dead animals, operating a drop-off center for household hazardous waste and collecting bulk items and large brush.

    • Fix-It Clinics are free events that help shift our throw-away culture toward repair and reuse. Instead of tossing broken items, participants bring them to the clinic to work alongside volunteer Fix-It Coaches who share their repair knowledge and help troubleshoot, disassemble, and (when possible) fix each item. By repairing what we already have, we reduce the need for new materials and energy and keep useful items out of landfills.
