Internationally known herbalist, Christopher Hobbs, leading a garden tour at American Botanical Council on Wed, July 1, 6pm

The American Botanical Council and Rainbow Light Nutritional Systems, a national leader in nutritional supplements, are hosting an herb walk led by Christopher Hobbs, LAc, AHG, Director of Herbal Formulation at Rainbow Light. Hobbs will give a tour of the ABC herbal medicinal demonstration gardens followed by a lecture and Q & A session at 6:30pm-8pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. The event will be preceded by a “happy hour” beginning at 6pm, which will feature refreshments such as herbal tea and snacks including local seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Christopher Hobbs is an internationally-renowned herbalist with over 30 years of experience in the clinical application of medicinal herbs. He has written more than 20 books including Foundations of Health: Healing With Herbs and Foods (Botanica Press,1992), Stress and Natural Healing: Herbal Medicines and Natural Therapies (Interweave Press,1997), Herbal Remedies for Dummies (Wiley, 1998), Women’s Herbs, Women’s Health (Botanica Press, 2nd edition 2007), Natural Therapy for Your Liver (Avery Trade, 2002), and he co-edited the American Herbal Products Association’s Botanical Safety Handbook (CRC Press, 1997). Hobbs has been formulating exclusively for Rainbow Light since 1995. He is also a co-founder of the American Herbalists Guild and often lectures at universities and conventions around the world.
