The 89th Texas Legislature’s regular session begins on January 14, 2025. Get ready for the session with the League of Women Voters Austin Area!

Stephanie Chiarello, Chief of Staff for Rep. R.D. “Bobby” Guerra (HD-41), will describe how the Texas Legislature works and talk about how anyone can advocate for the things they care about. Stephanie has worked inside and around the Texas Capitol for more than 15 years. She earned her Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and earned undergraduate degrees in both biology and theatre and dance from UT Austin.

Are you volunteering with Capitol Corps? Thinking about participating in LWV Lobby Day in February? Or just plain curious about what goes on in the pink granite building at the top of Congress Avenue? Then join us on January 18!
