You’re Invited to Central Texas’ First Sustainable Chicken Seminar! Tickets can be purchased here.
The Sustainable Chicken Seminar desires to educate and equip those who keep chickens in Austin and the surrounding area. Backyard and small flock chicken keeping has been on the rise in Austin for the last several years due to the urban farm code. This growth was accelerated by the recent Zero Waste initiative and corresponding chicken keeping rebate program in Austin. Many of those taking advantage of the City’s programs are new to keeping chickens and need education and resources to be successful. The Sustainable Chicken Seminar will create an opportunity for those endeavoring to learn how to care for their chickens. Additionally, it will provide an option for those desiring a more in-depth understanding of chicken keeping and connect them with community resources to ensure success.
