Help Shape The Future Of RGK + Reimers Ranch Parks: Open House

Travis County is developing vision plans for Reimers Ranch Park and its newest park, RGK Ranch Park, which is not yet open to the public. Share your input to help shape the future of these parks and the experiences they offer.
Attend the open house: Wednesday, October 7, from 5:00–7:30 PM at the Lake Travis Middle School cafeteria, 4932 Bee Creek Road in Spicewood.
About RGK Ranch Park:
RGK Ranch Park is a 1,500-acre portion of the Kozmetsky Ranch, recently acquired by Travis County. This new parkland is east of Reimers Ranch Park and off of Highway 71 and Reimers-Peacock Road. Much of the property remains undeveloped.
Rocky uplands, limestone bluffs, creek corridors, native habitats for deer / birds / smaller fauna, wooded madrone stands, and broad Hill Country vistas give the park a distinct natural character. Remaining within the parkland are two areas to be maintained with the park’s future use: Casa Blanca, a hilltop house with a vista of the park’s beautiful Hill Country landscape, and the Memorial Garden, a place for reflection and peace.
The park is currently maintained under Travis County Parks and Land Management. Due to its significant natural character, potential vision for its use may include backcountry hikes and areas of conservation
for environmental education.
