Grow Zones and Carbon Offsets: Lunchtime Lecture

The Grow Zones & Carbon Offsets lunchtime lecture will go in depth into Austin’s Grow Zone riparian restoration program and it’s goals of enhancing creeks and improving associated climate mitigation benefits deriving from these restoration sites.

Ana González is a plant ecologist working as an environmental scientist for the Watershed Protection Department. Her work includes monitoring the improvements of riparian areas being restored, development of best practices for riparian restoration and management of invasive plants in these areas.
