Grow Local Spring Food Fair and Seed Swap

Sustainable Food Center’s Grow Local gardening program invites you to its spring Local Food Fair and Seed Swap. A family-friendly event, the fair will feature educational and interactive gardening, cooking and green-living booths as well as face painting, food art, drinks, music and a seed swap.

Grow Local will also celebrate the accomplishments of its spring Citizen Gardener graduates, thank this season’s gardening class facilitators, and honor outstanding school and community food growers with gardener awards.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with members of Austin’s sustainable food movement and to enjoy a sunny, spring day with friends and family. Bring some finger foods to share, vegetable, herb and fruit seeds to swap and a cash donation for Barr Mansion, which is graciously hosting this event for free.
