This virtual art workshop creates a fun new use for those plastic grocery bags. Join guest artist Calder Kamin as she teaches us how to crochet plastic into fun art objects for an engaging #EarthDay celebration.

Registration required; limited space available. Free to register and participate. Will need a set of crochet needles (see details below).

Supplies needed:
• Set of crochet needles, one medium (size 4.25-4.5 or G or similar) and one large (6-6.25 or J or similar). *If you would like to request a free set of needles, the McNay has a limited supply. Please email education@mcnayart.org to learn more.
• Plastic grocery bags, any color or size.
• Scissors

*If you requested a free set of needles, the pickup location is at the McNay Art Museum, 6000 N. New Braunfels, SATX, 78209 during regular business hours. Show your confirmation email at the front desk to receive your free set of crochet needles. Free needles available courtesy of Austin Creative Reuse Center and Spare Parts Center for Creative Reuse.
