Join us for this free movie. After the movie, we will have a panel discussion of Central Texas water issues with panelists including Alyssa Burgin, from San Antonio, with the Texas Drought Project and Linda Curtis, from Bastrop, who works on water issues in Bastrop and Lee Counties.

Narrated by Malcolm McDowell, this award-winning documentary from director Sam Bozzo suggests that we’re moving closer to a world in which water — a seemingly plentiful natural resource — could actually incite war.

Water is a critical issue in Central Texas, an issue that is heating up as communities without enough water look to pipe water in from other parts of Texas. But who does the water belong to? Who should decide? This movie takes a look at places where people have had to fight for their water. Were fracking interest are trying out bidding agricultural and farming interests. Watch as corporate giants, private investors, and corrupt governments vie for control of dwindling fresh water supplies, prompting protests, lawsuits, and revolutions from citizens fighting for the right to survive. Past civilizations have collapsed from poor water management. Will ours too?

Refreshments will be available. Seating is very limited so arrive early.
