Neil Schmidt presents “Native Grasses”
Learn how to identify, cultivate, and propagate some of the most common native grasses in Central Texas — and learn which invasive species to avoid! The endless variety of grasses can be daunting and overwhelming, but you can begin to see the characteristics that distinguish the species. Look through the sea of green and notice the beauty of diversity!
Neil, now our Education Coordinator, has taught plant taxonomy labs at Texas State University, helping students notice these small differences.
