Tuesday, September 18th at 10am – Neil Schmidt presents “Infused Liquor and Shrub Making”.
One way to use this year’s harvest of herbs, fruits and veggies is to create amazing combinations to infuse flavor into liquor. Infusing alcohol is very easy and takes very little time on your part, taking at least a few weeks but mostly sitting in the cabinet. These then can be used to make incredible top shelf cocktails of almost any flavor.
How does a Habanero-Bacon infused vodka for an out-of-sight Bloody-Mary sound! Or Cucumber-Mint vodka for Mojitos or Fresh Ginger infused vodka for a Moscow Mule with a real Kick! And this is just the beginning of what you can do! Another way to add flavor to cocktails is “Shrubs” a colonial era mixture of herbs, fruit and vinegars. This sweet, sour and tart concoction adds amazing depth to cocktails as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Let’s use our harvest to make new and interesting things! Come join us!
