Free Class: Homemade Soap Making

Saturday, September 1^st at 10am – “Homemade Soap Making” with Jude Grey.  Cold-process soap making is a rewarding hobby that allows for ultimate customization in the quality and properties of your soap. It doesn’t need to be expensive, or complicated — in fact, Jude created her first batch of soap with existing old cookware and ingredients from the grocery store!

Our live demonstration will teach you everything you need to know about the process of saponification, so that you too can create your own homemade soaps! Learn what tools you need to begin, how to batch lye, which properties common fats and oils impart in a bar of soap, and more. Attendees will also receive a few of Jude’s personal recipes to begin with, and well as calculation notes for creating your own recipes.
