From the Natural Gardener –

Sunday, June 25th at 10 am – Neil Schmidt presents the first ever “Growing Milkweed” class!

Have you have ever wanted to grow milkweed for monarchs but didn’t know where to start? Milkweed species can range from very easy to very difficult to grow.  This class will give you everything you need to start raising milkweed and monarchs. The milkweed patch is a hub of diversity and life, discover all the insects and other critters that call it home as well as tricks for seed germination, transplanting and proper watering.  Neil is T.N.G.’s own Education Coordinator, Information Specialist and wildflower expert.  His time working at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center has given him experience growing and propagating numerous native milkweed species.
