Tuesday, June 11th at 10am –  Neil Schmidt presents the next installment in a long line of “Growing Milkweed” classes!

Have you ever wanted to grow milkweed for monarchs but didn’t know where to start? Milkweed species can range from very easy to very difficult to grow.  This class will give you everything you need to know to start raising milkweed and monarchs. The milkweed patch is a hub of diversity and life, discover all the insects and other critters that call it home as well as tricks for seed germination, transplanting and proper watering.

Neil is T.N.G.’s own Education Coordinator, Information Specialist and wildflower expert. His many roles at the Natural Gardener, along with his consulting business Yellow Leaf Consulting, and experience at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center have given him an extensive background in horticulture/ botany. He will share his experience growing and propagating numerous native milkweed species.
