Saturday, August 13th at 10am – “Creating a Garden with a Story” with Keenan Fletcher, the “Heirloom Bulb Girl.”
Every garden tells a story, what does yours say? What do you want it to say? Keenan will talk about heirloom gardening, what it is and why it is so vital. She will share her stories about “the rescue” of heirloom bulbs, their seasons, how to care for them, and varieties for our southern gardens. A violinist by profession, bulb enthusiast for life, Keenan has been hopping fences, fighting barbed wire, halting bulldozers and escaping snake bites for almost 26 years …all for the love of bulbs. She has traveled throughout the state rescuing bulbs to preserve the past for future generations to enjoy.
