You’re Invited to the Food Justice Encuentro!

The Encuentro is an ongoing bilingual community event open to the public, held at SFC’s office.

Encuentro Highlights:
• Get involved with your local food justice community.
• Learn about local issues that affect food access and equity.
• Share information about upcoming events and ways to stay involved.
• Identify collaborative opportunities with others.
• Enjoy a delicious breakfast made by local caterer Alegria Catering & Fiestas
•Guest Speakers: Urban Roots Fellows and YouthRise

Youth from Urban Roots and YouthRise will share their experience as young people engaged in food justice activism. They will discuss their perspectives on the biggest issues within our food system today and the ways they see their engagement and leadership in food systems impacting their communities.

Los jóvenes de Urban Roots y YouthRise compartirán su experiencia como jóvenes comprometidos con el activismo por la justicia alimentaria. Discutirán sus perspectivas sobre los problemas actuales más sobresalientes del sistema alimentario y las formas en que visualizan su participación y su rol de liderazgo en los sistemas alimentarios que afectan a sus comunidades.
