From Food + City –

The Food+City Challenge Prize is an international startup competition that encourages innovation in the urban food system. Finalists compete for a $50,000 purse and a sweet package of products and services for business startups. The eighteen finalists in the 2017 competition hail from nine different countries. We’re shining a spotlight on critical food supply chain issues and showcasing new business solutions that can improve how we feed cities around the world.

Meet the entrepreneurs as you explore their booths and watch the top 10 finalists deliver their best three-minute fast pitch to compete for the Prize.

What is the Food+City Challenge Prize?

The Food+City Challenge Prize is an international startup competition that encourages innovation in the urban food system. We encourage entrepreneurs from across the globe to create businesses and discover technologies that get healthier food to more people with less waste in a more efficient way.  Finalists compete for a $50,000 purse and a sweet package of products and services. The eighteen finalists in the 2017 competition hail from nine different countries. Each of the finalists has their own unique way of addressing the many intricacies of how we feed cities. We’re shining a spotlight on critical food supply chain issues and showcasing new business solutions that can improve how we feed cities around the world.
