Formerly known as Solid Waste Services, Austin Resource Recovery provides residential curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard trimmings in the City of Austin. Additional services include sweeping streets, collecting dead animals, operating a drop-off center for household hazardous waste and collecting bulk items and large brush.

    • Join us for a cozy and crafty session where you’ll learn how to give your favorite socks and sweaters a new life with darning techniques.

    Don’t toss your favorite socks or sweaters just because they have a hole! At this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn simple darning techniques to repair and refresh your well-loved clothes. Our skilled instructors will guide you through the process so you can extend the life of your garments and reduce textile waste.

    Bring one or two clean socks or sweaters you’d like to repair — all other supplies will be provided. Reserve your spot here.
