Fix-It at Home! Clothing Fixes On-the-Go

Austin Resource Recovery presents Fix-It at Home!, a FREE interactive, online workshop series aimed at teaching Austinites repair and maintenance skills from home. Classes range from learning sewing basics and ‘patching’ up clothes, to fixing recreational equipment and household appliances.

We’ve all been there… Your dress rips before an important meeting, coffee spills on your shirt, the button pops off your shirt before work. Equip yourself with the skills to make sure you know what to do next time. Join our instructor to learn how to make emergency repairs to clothing, while on-the-go and what to keep in your emergency clothing repair kit.

Meet the Instructor! Sarah Jacobs has been sewing for nearly 30 years. She likes to make practical, everyday objects and ridiculous, historical clothing. Most recently, she launched her own YouTube channel.
