Fix-It at Home! Bikes: Brake & Tire Repair

Austin Resource Recovery presents Fix-It at Home!, an interactive, online workshop series aimed at teaching Austinites repair and maintenance skills from home. Classes range from learning sewing basics and ‘patching’ up clothes, to fixing recreational equipment and household appliances. Having problems with your brakes and tires? Fear no more! Our instructor will teach basic bike repairs and maintenance, with an emphasis on break and tire repair. Get equipped with skills to replace your own tire or brake pads when they get worn out.
Meet the Instructor! John Koonz is a certified instructor with the League of American Bicyclists. He has been car-free for 10 years, and a daily cycling commuter for over 12 years.
