Formerly known as Solid Waste Services, Austin Resource Recovery provides residential curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard trimmings in the City of Austin. Additional services include sweeping streets, collecting dead animals, operating a drop-off center for household hazardous waste and collecting bulk items and large brush.

Austin Resource Recovery staff will be there answering questions, collecting your used household batteries* for recycling, giving away kitchen compost collectors and more. Look for the tent in the parking lot of Building 1.

*car batteries will not be accepted during this event.

If you can’t make it, you can still recycle your batteries by dropping them off for recycling at a participating location throughout the year.
