    • Austin is heading into a pivotal budget season. The City is facing a $33 million deficit, alongside devastating state and federal cuts—from refugee programs to food assistance to public health services like immunizations and disease prevention. The City Manager will release his proposed budget on Friday, July 11, and Council will hold a public hearing on the budget and potential tax rate election on Thursday, July 31.
