Join Forklift Danceworks and the Austin Animal Center for an outdoor, family-friendly performance celebrating the stories of Austin Animal Center workers who care for our city’s rescue animals. Dances for Dogs is a day-long community event featuring waived adoption fees all day, shelter tours, and activity booths with local pet vendors and community partners.

Reimagining Forklift’s original Dances for Dogs and People Who Walk Them, a short performance at 2pm will feature the movement and stories of Austin Animal Center workers, local dog lovers, and their dogs, with music performed by band leader Graham Reynolds and guest singer Gina Chavez. All are invited to join the culminating Insta-Dog Dance — bring your dog and come dance with Forklift!

Help Forklift put on this event! Sign up to volunteer by setting up, taking tickets, selling merch, or more to support this event. Volunteers are guaranteed entry to the Forklift performance that they support!
