BikeAustin, CNU-CTX, People For Bikes, the City of Austin Transportation Department, and the New Urbanism Film Festival are hosting “Cycling for Cities,” a program of inspiring and lively short films about how bicycling improves cities and the lives of the people who live in them.
Cycling for Cities is the community kick-off of Austin’s participation in The Big Jump Project by People for Bikes. The goal is to achieve a “big jump” in bicycle ridership in central Austin in the next 3 years by doubling the number of trips taken by bike.
Cycling for Cities is a special screening of films from the Los Angeles based New Urbanism Film Festival. PeopleForBikes aims to make riding better for everyone. By collaborating with millions of individual riders, businesses, community leaders, and elected officials, PeopleForBikes unites people to create a powerful, united voice for bicycling and its benefits.
