About:
Join us for a virtual workshop to learn about the Common Waters project and meet the creatives selected to design the installation. The Workshop will offer an immersion into three themes that are important to public art along the Butler Trail: Cultural Preservation, Climate Change + Resilience, and Environmental Activism. Each theme will be explored in a session guided by local and national creatives, activists, directors, designers and thinkers. The Workshop will give community members an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and provide insights that will help inspire the Commons Waters project as well as the Arts + Culture Plan that is being developed for the Trail.
Goal:
To educate, share knowledge and give context to the selected artists about the three foundational themes developed by the Brain Trust community advisors. In learning how to navigate a new process of bringing arts, culture and ecology together, this workshop will help lay the groundwork for The Trail Foundation’s Arts + Culture Plan.
