CodeTALK – Compatibility

Compatibility is the topic of the first CodeTALK – a series of community conversations on key issues identified in the CodeNEXT Land Development Code Diagnosis. At least four of the top 10 issues directly or indirectly affect Compatibility in Austin.

This CodeTALK will be an opportunity to explore how the development community, neighborhoods, land use planners, and other Austinites view compatibility and its impact on what we care most about in our community. We’ll explore what’s working and not working with compatibility in Austin’s Land Development Code, and consider the best practices and tools used by other cities.

Next week’s events will include presentations from the national experts representing the CodeNEXT consultant team, panel discussions with local speakers to share what’s worked and not worked in Austin, and table conversations with attendees to explore issues in more depth and ask questions that will help inform the Code revision process.

Content will be the same on Thursday and Saturday, so join us on whichever day fits your schedule. To help with planning the event, RSVP’s are requested by June 11.
