Code Talk: Character and Mapping Rollout

The second of five Code Talks from the city’s CodeNEXT initiative is about Character. Come learn about how the draft code addresses community character through the exploration of diverse viewpoints and trade-offs.

The event will run from 6pm-7pm and will include a presentation from code writers, a panel discussion from community experts, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

Following the event will be the public roll-out of the CodeNEXT draft map from 7:15pm-9pm. The draft map will show how the zones found in the draft code are applied throughout Austin. A presentation by staff and consultants will be made, and the Land Development Code Advisory Group (CAG) will be provided the opportunity to ask questions about the map.
