City Manager Budget Conversations At Dove Springs Rec Center
March 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Austinites are invited to “Your Budget, Your Priorities: Community Conversations with TC Broadnax,” a series of town hall public meetings hosted by the Austin City Manager designed to gather community input on City budget priorities. Broadnax will also discuss the process and the challenges of drafting the City’s proposed budget.
This series builds on conversations the City Manager started with the community last year. He believes engaging with Austinites early in the process to identify community priorities is important.
In the spring City staff begin identifying both City and community needs while drafting the City Manager’s proposed budget, which he presents to City Council in mid-July. After review, analysis and amendments, the Austin City Council adopts the City’s budget in mid-August.
These community meetings provide the community Austinites with a unique opportunity to learn more about the budgeting process and offer feedback before the City Manager develops the proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget.
