From the Citizens’ Climate Lobby –

Moving Towards Solutions
January 30-31, 2016
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Austin, TX

Registration deadline: January 28, 2016

No single individual can create the political will for action on climate, but all of us are affected by climate change. Together, we have the power to restore the climate by coming together to learn how to move Congress towards solutions.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) promotes a workable plan to tax carbon emissions at the source – or at the border – so that the costs of greenhouse gas emissions are reflected in the marketplace. They then propose to rebate all of the tax to citizens, making them financially compensated in the process, but leading to market-wide choices away from carbon intensive fuels and products. With this well thought out solution, CCL actively lobbies every representative of Congress so that when there is a will, there will be a politically practical solution.

People who have been to our regional conferences, have called them “life-changing, empowering, and inspiring.”

On January 30 and 31, Citizen’s Climate Lobby will hold its 3rd annual 3rd Coast Regional Conference, including people from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The 2016 CCL 3rd Coast Regional Conference, located in Austin, TX will focus on communication and concerns specific to our region. We will teach you how to find common ground and build relationships with those who may not be our natural allies.

Our keynote speaker on the global issues of climate change and national security will be Retired Navy Rear Admiral David Titley.  Also scheduled to appear is Mark Reynolds, Executive Director of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, an all-around inspiring leader. The conference will feature speakers, breakouts and smaller group training sessions.
