Sometimes the best gifts are made by hand.
Join us and make a Pinterest worthy wine holder that you can gift this holiday or keep for yourself.
Led by Broads and Boards, a local woodworking non-profit, you’ll learn basic power tool safety and how to use drills and saws while making their wine holder. Students will also learn a variety of wood sanding techniques and be given wood finishing instructions to take home so that they can finish their wine holder at a later time.
Students will need to purchase a wood board minimum 7″ in width, which the ReStore will offer at 50 percent off on the day of the event.
This will be a hands-on activity! After you’ve been shown how to safely use these tools, members of Austin Habitat Campus Chapter will assist you as you put your new knowledge to use and make your own wine holder.
You MUST be 18 or older to participate.
