Preparing a healthy, delicious meal is so much easier when you know how to handle a knife. In this class, you’ll learn how to chop, julienne, dice and chiffonade like a pro. Also, you’ll learn how to properly select, sharpen, care for and store your knife so it lasts a lifetime. And, the bonus is: you’ll go home with a vegetable bounty ready to make dinner, since all your chopping will be done!
SFC Farmers’ Market Mobile knife sharpener, Knife Party, will also join us for a knife care and sharpening demo. Bring your knives from home to have them professionally sharpened during class for a few extra dollars.
We’ll have knives for you to use, but feel free to bring your own.
Please bring many large reusable containers to bring home your chopped veggies.
The entire class will be active, so please eat beforehand and dress appropriately for the kitchen (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes, hair tie for long hair, etc.).
Classes are for adults; teenagers may participate with a parent or guardian present.
