Let’s close 2023 on a positive and fun note together! Get ready to unwind, connect, and celebrate 50 years of hip-hop history. This event is an opportunity to have fun, build community and learn some new rhyming and breakdancing moves.  If you’re not artistically inclined, join the fun anyways, with plenty of fun activities and new neighbors to meet!

*We will continue our 2023 BRAVE Young Leaders’ initiative to upcycle clothes and books with a clothes/books/gifts swap. Bring any (fresh) unused clothes, books, or gifts to become someone’s new treasures!  Save money in your wallet and the landfill!!

Special Guests:

Bavu Blakes, a scholar emcee deliberately walking through the intersection of Hip Hop, education, and spirituality. As the founder of Hip Hop Grew Up, Bavu is a  trusted voice guiding U.S. leaders in translating ideas into action.

Romeo Navarro, an Austin native and event creator as Founder of BBoy City Pro. He once traveled the world establishing Bboy City’s sister competitions in seven countries. More recently, he remains close to home, devoting his time on the Menchaca Fire Department, Bboy City and Hope 4 Hip Hop.
