Holding this conversation on Indigenous Peoples’ Day and the close of Hispanic Heritage month, reminds us of the long-standing history of disinformation—from the erasure and misrepresentation of Indigenous peoples to the ongoing harm done to immigrant communities today. We celebrate the rich cultural impact while addressing the broader, damaging myths that undermine the diversity and strength immigrants bring to America.
