Be Groovy Be Green Live is here! Creator Maureen Haskell brings you “It’s All About Loving The Earth.”

Characters from Ms. Hemmings (her Mom) paintings such as Lanelle “the Coolest Cactus Lady” and Miguel “the Magical Frog” populate these imaginative stories.
Created by kids large and small, the show teaches children both friendliness and green values such as “Recycle, Renew, Reuse and Replace”. The “Eat Groovy, Eat Green Cooking” segment encourages eating organic vegetables. The “Wary Home Companion” encourages safe water usage and features the song “Cool Clear Water”. Another song is called “Being Friendly is Fun!” Live characters include Cosmic Adventure Man, Dotti – the Earth’s Mom, Lucinda Clearwater and The BGBG Queen.

The “Be Groovy Be Green” Show premieres at the Dougherty Arts Center at 1110 Barton Springs Road on Sunday, February 6th at 2 pm. Doors open at 1 pm for games, facepainting and more! Tickets are available online at http://begroovybegreen.yolasite.com/ for $8 and $10 at the door.
