From EarthShare of Texas –

The second event of our anniversary series is Bats, Birds and Barbecue: A Dinner Discussion of Wildlife and Habitat Conservation Beneath a Bat-Filled Sky.

Did you know that the Mexican free-tailed bats play a hand in making your after-work margarita? Or that raptors don’t have eyeballs?  Wildlife is fascinating, inspirational and integral to our survival.  As habitats become threatened by pesticides, oil/chemical spills and general pollution, conservation efforts are urgent.

Join us at Bracken Cave where we will watch the awesome evening emergence of the world’s largest bat colony and meet some raptors up close and personally.  We will talk about what is being done to conserve wildlife habitats and what yet needs to be done. Enjoy live music and a barbecue feast prepared by Rosemary’s Catering beneath a magical bat-filled sky. Tickets can be purchased here.

*Please note – this event was originally scheduled for May 20th, but was postponed due to weather. *
