We will visit Bastrop County two years after the fire. The day will begin at Buescher State Park, which was fortunately spared from fire damage. We will look for local residents such as Pileated Woodpecker, Pine Warbler and Barred Owl as well as winter arrivals such as sparrows, kinglets and waterfowl. Time will allow us to check out the Bastrop State Park where the fire damage was severe. We will look for signs of rejuvenation, and see how the birds are using this changed landscape. Lunch will be at a local area restaurant. Limited to 12 people. Contact Terry Banks at 55bluebirds@att.net to register. Registration is required.
