Austin CarShare 3rd Birthday Party & FUNdraiser

November 25 @ 7:45 pm

Basic Info

Date:
November 25, 2024
Time:
7:45 pm

As many of you know, Council Member Chris Riley has strived to live his life in a way that has minimal impact on the planet. It is widely known that Chris does not own a car choosing instead to ride his bike, carpool, use public transit or reserve and drive an Austin CarShare vehicle when he needs to get around.

You also probably know that Chris served as a founding board member and Vice Chair of Austin CarShare for nearly three years before he stepped down to run for public office.  Austin CarShare works on encouraging multi-modal transit, encouraging people to bike, walk, carpool, ride transit and use a carsharing service. These behaviors help reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality. Carsharing programs also promote sustainable development and offer Austinites the choice of mobility without the hassle and expense of car ownership.

Austin CarShare, is proud to be presenting City Council Member Chris Riley with the first annual Living Light Award, in honor of his small environmental footprint, next Monday, November 2.

Join us to celebrate Austin CarShare’s 3rd birthday and to honor Chris. Here are the details:
