Join us to learn from and celebrate youth innovators and environmentalists from across Central Texas at Austin City Hall on Thursday, May 9th from 5:30 to 7pm.

Student teams will present their innovative, Eco-Audit Grant-funded projects in a science-fair-style format. Prepare to be wowed by elementary, middle, and high school students who have developed a deep understanding of complex sustainability challenges, ranging from water conservation and local food production to waste management strategies.

We are excited to feature the Austin Youth Climate Equity Council members at this year’s showcase! This council provides ways for youth to learn from and contribute to city-wide climate action and invest in the future of their city as part of the City of Austin’s Climate Equity Plan. Hear from the council members about the work they have been undertaking with frontline community organizations this school year and their community initiative plans happening this spring.

“The threat of our changing climate means we need everyone getting involved, including our young future leaders. We’re proud to support these youth-led sustainability projects that not only align with Austin’s environmental goals but also help inspire our local students.”
— Zach Baumer, City of Austin’s Chief Sustainability Officer
