350 Austin Reading Discussion

From 350 Austin –

Join us for a lively, stimulating, and often deep discussion with some really interesting people! This month we talk about a the Green New Deal. Please read the following article and come prepared for an interesting discussion on the many aspects of this new initiative.

https://www.resilience.org/stories/2019-01-21/could-a-green-new-deal-save-civilization/

The article is written by Richard Heinberg. He is Senior Fellow of the Post Carbon Institute and is regarded as one of the world’s foremost advocates for a shift away from our current reliance on fossil fuels. He has authored 13 books and scores of essays and articles that have appeared in such journals as Nature, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, The American Prospect, etc.

As usual, we will meet on the last Tuesday of the month (which happens to be the 5th Tuesday this month), from 7:00pm to 8:30pm on Jan 29th at the Cepeda Branch Library, 651 N Pleasant Valley Rd, Austin.

Hope to see you there!
