How should we prepare students for a lifetime of civic engagement? National experts in education, political science, and psychology will share their expertise and discuss essential, but often overlooked, opportunities to educate future engaged citizens. Particular emphasis will be given to the important role of social-emotional learning and other opportunities for early childhood to develop civic agency and lay a foundation for civic learning. This event welcomes educators, policy makers, advocates, and students.

This free, online event is hosted by the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life at The University of Texas at Austin.
