02 Sep EPA Could Regulate Toxic Coal Ash, You Can Help
The EPA is holding hearings in 7 cities across the nation to determine future regulation of coal ash. Next Wednesday, September 8th, people are busing to Dallas, TX from Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma & across the great state of Texas! Why would people take time off their jobs, from school, and from their busy lives? This hearing is setting precedent for coal (and other fossil fuel) companies to take responsibility for cleaning up their own mess and will safeguard thousands upon thousands of people. Coal Ash is full of toxic chemicals, yet your trash at home has more regulations!

- Q & A Session with experts 3-4PM
- Vigil and movie 6:30PM
- Submit your comment to the EPA as late as 9PM
Is it worth your time? Will you have a chance to speak?
Yes, and Yes!
They are accepting times to speak till 9PM : http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/ nonhaz/industrial/special/ fossil/ccr-rule/ccr-form.htm Please do make the commitment to attending the hearing in person and sign up on the EPA website! Even if you decided to go at the last minuite, you would likely be able to give your spoken comment to the EPA, especially in the afternoon. They want to hear what people have to say! They stayed late at the hearing in Houston! They thanked us for bringing more people into the process!
