Influence how the city spends its $4 billion budget by taking the city's new survey.

Maybe this is something you’ve never done before. Or something you’ve never even cared about before.

But this year is different.

This year, we’re in the throes of a crisis. The need for government services is high. And the revenue coming in is low. Which means some big decisions are going to have to be made when it comes to the city’s budget.

You can help influence those decisions by filling out this survey, which will be shared with city staff and leadership.

So what’s in the survey? What kinds of questions will you answer?

  • Should the city try and raise more money (to make up for the loss in revenue from sales taxes, user fees, and fines)?

  • Where should the city be spending more or less money? Parks & Rec? Libraries? Police? Fire?

Bottom line – Taking the survey only takes a few minutes and is a great way to learn about the city’s budget process and get more involved in our local democratic system. Do it 🙂
